Report: VfB Stuttgart interested in Aston Villa’s Buendía

Could the Argentine attacker be set for a return to the Bundesliga?

As the Birmingham Mail reports, VfB Stuttgart is interested in a transfer for Aston Villa’s Emiliano Buendía.

Buendía can play both centrally or on the wings and could thus be the attacking addition the Swabians are looking for.

Whether Stuttgart would prefer a loan deal or could even afford to cough up the funds for a permanent transfer is currently unknown.

Buendía is under contract with the Villans until 2027 and featured against Brentford as a substitute last weekend.

It’s worth noting that the Argentine attacker made 15 competitive appearances for Bayer Leverkusen on loan over the past six months. 

However, his contribution of just two goals weren’t enough for Die Werkself to seriously consider signing him in the end.
