Amid growing reports of interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich are said to be unwilling to entertain any offers for Lennart Karl unless they comfortably exceed the €100 million mark.

Lennart Karl has enjoyed a breakout campaign under Vincent Kompany, establishing himself as a key member of the first-team squad and earning widespread praise across the footballing world. His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of Real Madrid – a club the teenager has previously described as his dream destination.

However, any potential move would be far from straightforward. According to BILD journalist and Bayern insider Christian Falk, Bayern have set an extraordinarily high bar for any interested suitor. “For the record: any interested club worldwide would have to consider an offer well over 100 million euros,” Falk wrote. “Real Madrid would have to make that offer, and only then would FC Bayern even discuss it.”

Even so, Falk insists that Karl’s departure is not a serious topic of discussion at Säbener Straße. “FC Bayern will not sell this player. They don’t want to sell this player,” he added. “He has a great future, he is German and comes from Bayern’s youth academy. In this case, 100 million euros is probably not enough.”

Karl is currently under contract with Bayern until 2028, with an automatic extension to 2029 set to take effect on his 18th birthday on February 22. The club, however, are already planning further ahead. According to Falk, Bayern intend to secure the youngster’s future with a new deal running until at least 2031 ahead of the World Cup. “They also intend to sign him to a longer contract until 2031 before the World Cup. There are talks with his agent, Michael Ballack, which I believe will ultimately be successful and bring the youngster more money,” Falk wrote.

So far this season, Karl has made 27 appearances across all competitions for Bayern, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
