Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Milan will sell at least two star players during the summer transfer window in order to fund a revolution on the transfer market, with a new coach and sporting director also still to be decided upon.
Reports Milan will sell two star players in summer window
According to Tuesday’s reports, Milan will look to sell both Theo Hernandez and Fikayo Tomori during the next transfer window, following a series of unconvincing performances from both across the 2024-25 campaign.
While undoubtedly one of Milan’s stand-out players throughout his Rossoneri career, Theo Hernandez has failed to live up to expectations this season.
His contract is due to expire in the summer of 2026, which means that he will be entering the final year of his deal this summer. Without a contract extension, which seems unlikely as things stand, Milan risk losing him on a free transfer from January 2026 onwards.
For that reason, the Rossoneri will reportedly look to move him on for what could be a discounted fee during the summer transfer window.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan would have sought a fee in the region of €50m-€60m in seasons gone by, but that is no longer the case.
Como reportedly offered around €40m plus bonuses to sign the Frenchman in January, and if that was the going rate a few months ago, then the Pink Paper suggests that Milan could potentially listen to offers in the region of €30m plus bonuses in the summer.
Additionally, Tomori is reportedly on his way out of San Siro. The former Chelsea centre-back has only played in one of Milan’s last nine Serie A matches and has been linked with several moves away over the last few transfer windows.

A Premier League return could be on the cards, while Juventus had lodged a formal offer to sign him on loan with an option to buy for a total package in the region of €30m in January.
Tomori is under contract until 2027, which means that his sale is less of a pressing priority compared to Theo Hernandez, but that also means Milan have less pressure to reduce their asking price.
As well as Theo and Tomori, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that there are several other players who could be sold if appropriate offers come in this summer. Among them are Yunus Musah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Samuel Chukwueze and Emerson Royal.

Meanwhile, Milan are hoping to profit from the buy-options in the loan deals for Pierre Kalulu and Ismael Bennacer, while Alexis Saelemaekers could return and be sold on after a promising season on loan with Roma.
