Chelsea have determined their price if they are to sell Nicolas Jackson this summer after receiving interest from a number of Premier League sides in the striker.

The arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro at Stamford Bridge could see Jackson’s gametime reduced next season, leading to attention from teams such as Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Newcastle have become the latest side to consider a move for Jackson, having added the 24-year-old to their shortlist as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak if the Swedish international is sold.

However, Chelsea are not believed to be looking to sell Jackson this summer and would only consider cashing in on the striker if they received a significant offer for his services.

According to The i Paper, Chelsea have already begun to quote teams an ‘astronomical’ fee of £80 million (€91m) to sign Jackson this summer, with Liverpool’s €95m signing of Hugo Ekitike thought to be considered a bench mark valuation in comparison.

Newcastle are said to value Jackson closer to £65m (€74m), having made a bid for Ekitike at a similar amount prior to his move to Liverpool, although it remains to be seen whether they will follow up their initial enquiries to Chelsea for their forward.

Chelsea unlikely to receive asking price for Jackson

Jackson has proven a capable yet inconsistent figure since moving to Chelsea for €37m in 2023, having scored 24 goals in 65 Premier League games for the Blues.

Chelsea had been keen to sign a striker capable of competing with Jackson, leading to the €35m signing of Delap in June, while Pedro’s €64m arrival could also see him feature up front despite also being used as an attacking midfielder during pre-season so far.

Jackson still has a staggering eight years remaining on his contract and he has reportedly rejected interest from the likes of Milan and Napoli, with his desire thought to be to stay in the Premier League if he is to leave Chelsea.

Chelsea’s valuation of Jackson makes his sale unlikely this summer, with Man Utd set to consider cheaper targets, while Newcastle are in talks to sign Yoane Wissa and Benjamin Sesko in their own pursuit of a striker.
