Revealed: How much Bayern and Borussia Dortmund earned at the Club World Cup

With the Club World Cup now concluded, it’s clear how much each participant – including Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund – earned by taking part.

The FIFA Club World Cup reached its conclusion on Sunday evening, with Chelsea beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final.

Both German representatives, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, reached the quarter-finals of the tournament and made a tidy profit along the way.

According to figures released by respected football business blogger Swiss Ramble, Bayern Munich earned €50 million from taking part in the tournament the fifth-highest amount of all clubs involved, behind Fluminense, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, earned €45 million, placing them sixth overall, just behind Bayern.
