Atalanta have identified Samuele Ricci as the ideal replacement if Ederson is sold for €60m this summer, despite there also being interest from Milan for the Torino midfielder.
The Italy international is widely expected to leave Toro at the end of the season, as he is ready for the next step in his career.
There has been plenty of interest from Milan over the last few months and that does remain, although at the moment they are focused on other targets.
Ricci open to Atalanta reunion with Juric
This could allow Atalanta to step in, especially after the appointment of new coach Ivan Juric, who worked with Ricci at Torino.
The player turns 24 in August and is under contract until June 2028 with the Granata.
La Dea would see him as the ideal heir to Ederson, but in order for the Brazilian to be sold, it will take at least €60m.
The most likely candidates are Manchester United, Juventus and Al-Hilal.
