Rio Ferdinand had a hilarious put down to co-pundit Laura Woods as they discussed Manchester United’s latest struggles on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils legend already ripped into his former side after offering his immediate thoughts on United’s dismal 3-0 defeat by Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
But Ferdinand returned to the topic during TNT Sport’s coverage of the Champions League on Tuesday, as he discussed it with Woods and Joleon Lescott.
Woods asked for Ferdinand’s opinion on United’s issues and he replied: ‘Laura, can we move on please? Quickly!’
As well as his light-hearted comment, Ferdinand did eventually delve into his views on the Red Devils’ early season form and admitted it was ‘worrying’.

The Red Devils were sent into crisis after suffering a 3-0 defeat by Tottenham on Sunday
‘Before a ball was kicked at the beginning of the season, I was quite optimistic – like all of the Man United fans!
‘But the fact is we’re seven or eight games into the season now and people are starting to question the manager and his job at the club and his time at the club and it’s like ‘I didn’t see this coming that quick’. That’s the worrying thing’.
On Sunday afternoon a dismal United performance saw Spurs’ Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke all score without reply at Old Trafford.
Defeat leaves the club 12th in the league standings, as United slumped to a third defeat of the new Premier League season.
Ferdinand offered his thoughts on the match immediately after the full-time whistle and didn’t hold back as he unleashed a scathing critique.
‘We’ll get to the red card in a minute but Van de Ven ran through the whole team and I look at it, happened midweek as well,’ Ferdinand said in a video on X.
‘Where’s the pride man? I just don’t know. That fight don’t seem where it should be. The Bruno red card I think is p*** poor as well. I think it’s a p*** poor red card.

Ferdinand also offered his opinions immediately after United’s defeat by Tottenham
‘In no day and age should that ever be a red card. A straight red card? No way, I can’t have it,’ he added.
‘But do not let that distract from the fact that we were terrible. We were an embarrassment today. The red card shouldn’t be an excuse for anybody at Man Utd now. It shouldn’t be an excuse for anyone at the football club,’ he added.
‘We were terrible. We were terrible to watch. It was a terrible kind of representation of who were are and what we are right now.
‘Giving the ball away constantly. I’m ranting here but I can’t help it. I’ve sat and watched the game and just thought what the hell are we?’ Ferdinand further fumed.
