Roma have reportedly denied rumours of negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for Manu Koné, assuring the midfielder is part of their future plans.

There had been some suggestions in the French media that Paris Saint-Germain were showing a real interest in the France international for next season.

However, transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano assures that Roma sources flatly denied any meetings to sell the player, because he is a key to their structure for the 2025-26 campaign.

Roma fully intend to keep Koné

Koné turns 24 next month and was signed from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer on loan with an obligation to buy for €18m plus bonuses.

He has made 40 competitive appearances for the Giallorossi this season, contributing two goals and three assists.

His contract with Roma runs to June 2029 and he has put together six senior caps for France.

A lot needs to be decided about the future plans at the Stadio Olimpico, seeing as Claudio Ranieri has been adamant he intends to retire at the end of this season, so a new coach will be required.
