Roma are set to hold a conference call with Hellas Verona tonight to finalise the details for Daniele Ghilardi, as the Fiorentina stake in the fee continues to cause issues.
An appointment has been set up for this evening, by 22.00 local time, for the two clubs to talk over the arrangements and find a solution.
The defender was chosen by coach Gian Piero Gasperini to reinforce his squad at the Stadio Olimpico and the player is eager to make the move too.
Ghilardi eager to join Roma
We had already warned that the original €10m proposal including add-ons was insufficient, so Roma raised it by another €1m.
Verona are now going to ask for a little bit more, seeing as they owe 50 per cent of the fixed fee to his former club Fiorentina.
What needs to be reiterated is that they really are down to the details, Ghilardi fully expects to be wearing the Giallorossi jersey later this season.
