Roma star Dybala explains controversial goal celebration

Roma star Paulo Dybala explained his controversial goal celebration following a 3-1 win against Udinese: ‘Somebody talks too much.’

The Argentinean gave Roma the lead at minute 81 contributing to the Giallorossi’s eventual win at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

However, he seemed far from being happy after finding the net as he made the ‘shush’ gesture, putting his finger in front of his lips.

“Somebody talks too much for no reason,” the Argentinean explained during a post-match interview with DAZN, as quoted by VoceGiallorossa.

“I always try to give the best for my team.”

Dybala’s goal was the number 4.500 in Roma’s history

“I am glad, I try to give back all the love these people give me. I want to remain in history with a trophy. It was a good night, it was important to win.”

How does it feel to play with Romelu Lukaku?

“We understand each other, this is the secret,” said Dybala.

“We try to have an important connection and we are finding it well”.

Dybala, 30 has scored three goals in nine Serie A appearances this season. The last time he had found the net in Italy’s top flight was in a 7-0 win over Empoli on September 17 when he had bagged a brace.

He has missed three league games due to injuries this season.

Dybala’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out in June 2025. The Argentinean has a €12m clause valid for clubs outside Serie A, while the fee for Italian clubs is set at €20m.
