Romano provides ‘CONCRETE TALKS’ update on Osimhen to Man Utd

Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that Manchester United have yet to open ‘concrete talks’ with Victor Osimhen despite their well-documented interest.

The Red Devils desperately need to add a striker this summer. Even though Rasmus Hojlund is slowly but surely fighting his way back from his dire form slump, it is clear that Man Utd need to bolster their frontline.

It has been a horrific campaign for Ruben Amorim’s side and there is a glaring need for goals. A host of names have been linked with Man Utd, ranging from established elite strikers like Victor Osimhen and Victor Gyokeres to up-and-comers like Liam Delap and Jonathan Burkardt.

Man Utd’s main issue, however, is the simple fact that they don’t really have money to spend. The Premier League giants will first have to sell before they will be able to buy and due to this state of affairs, they have already missed out on top target Geovany Quenda.

A lot will hinge on whether Man Utd manage to sneak into the Champions League by winning the Europa League.

Romano on Osimhen to Man Utd

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that due to Man Utd’s dire sporting and financial situation, they have yet to make a firm decision on which striker target they will pursue.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he has now again provided an update on the situation and reiterated that Man Utd are not yet in ‘concrete talks’ with Osimhen – or any No.9 for that matter.

“At the moment, I’m not aware of concrete talks taking place for Osimhen to Man United,” Romano said. “He’s on the list but [the] same [is the case] for more strikers, nothing advanced at this stage.”

Osimhen has been prolific on loan at Galatasaray this season. The Napoli-owned striker has scored a whopping 26 goals in 30 games while also providing five assists in Istanbul.
