The 38-year-old coach is ambitious, but also a man who focuses on organic growth in his career.
Should he join Leverkusen, he would have face exorbitantly increased expectations as he’d be replacing Xabi Alonso.
A move to Leipzig however, offers plenty of room for improvement and room to shape the future at the club.
