Roy Keane be at Anfield for Sky Sports on Sunday, Mail Sport understands.
The former Manchester United captain was involved in a heated pitch-side exchange with Ipswich supporters last weekend, with the broadcaster launching an investigation into what happened.
Keane responded to relentless taunts from a section of fans at Portman Road, where he once managed, before offering to meet one supporter on the car park.
Sky bosses subsequently spoke to Keane and others present, including presenter Kelly Cates, Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen, to ascertain what happened.
They have remained tight-lipped over the result of their probe, although they are known to have held sympathy for the situation in which Keane found himself in among claims that some fans ‘consistently overstepped the mark’.
Following the latest incident, concerns had grown that Keane, who has spoken of his desire to be out of punditry in 12 months, could be nearing the end of his stint in the studio. At a match at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium last season he was headbutted by a fan who ended up being hauled before the courts and subsequently referred to that incident in a podcast. ‘Do you think I enjoy that side of it?’ he asked. ‘Absolutely not.’

Keane is still set to be part of the punditry team for Sunday’s clash between Liverpool and Man City
Keane, 53, is contracted to appear in around 20 Super Sundays per season and there was uncertainty over whether he would be part of the line-up at Anfield.
However, sources have now disclosed that, barring a late pull-out, the Irishman will be in Liverpool for the crunch Premier League clash.
As Mail Sport reported, Sky will not beef up security after the Ipswich incident. They carry out a risk assessment for each match and it is thought, as is the norm for big games, bodyguards will be on hand to ensure the safety of their pundits on Sunday.
Keane will be joined by former United teammate Gary Neville, ex-Liverpool pair Jamie Carragher and Daniel Sturridge and former Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
