Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is keen on landing Sporting CP winger Francisco Trincao this summer, as per Dean Jones.
The Red Devils are planning for a busy transfer window. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are expected to be sold.
They will be compensated with at least one attacking addition and Jones claims that Amorim is interested in a reunion with Trincao.
Trincao has been in superb form for the Portuguese champions this campaign. He has bagged nine goals and 15 assists in all competitions.
His form has grabbed the eye of elite European clubs including Manchester City, but United could have an upper hand in the transfer race.
Trincao’s turnaround in his career happened under Amorim at Sporting CP and he could be tempted to work under the Portuguese once more.
There is a clause worth £68m in his contract at Sporting CP, but he could be signed for a discount with his deal expiring in the summer of 2026.
