Ruben Amorim has visited Old Trafford for the first time as the new manager of Manchester United.
Amorim arrives at the club after a successful spell with Sporting Clube de Portugal in his native Portugal, having won two league titles and three domestic cups in four-and-a-half seasons.
In the wake of Erik ten Hag‘s sacking the week prior, Amorim quickly emerged as the main contender to replace the Dutchman, with United moving fast to get their man.
Amorim has brought with him a number of his own coaches and backroom staff members, and is now gearing up for his first match after the international break.
He arrived at United for his first official day as head coach on Monday, but with the majority of the squad off on international duty there has been little chance to visit Old Trafford.
But this week he was snapped officially at the ground, where he went on a tour of the stadium.

Amorim has of course played at Old Trafford before, doing so with both Benfica and Braga in his playing days, but this week’s visit naturally came with a different feeling.
Amorim was pictured in a variety of locations around the famous United ground, with the pitch floodlights illuminated on what is sure to be a memorable day for the 39-year-old.
He was taken to the press area, and posed for pictures on the side of the pitch, as well as looking at pictures of those who have come before him.
The new head coach has had a chance to meet some of his players already, with a number of them not called up to their respective national teams.
He was pictured sharing warm embraces with Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo, laughing with Leny Yoro and chatting to academy product Toby Collyer earlier this week.
As the seventh permanent head coach since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure, Amorim has a sizeable challenge ahead of him trying to right the ship and bring United back to the pinnacle of English football.
However, he has already received a vote of confidence from his new captain Bruno Fernandes, who picked out a trait that he believes will serve Amorim well.
Fernandes told MUTV: ‘For me what stands out for me is the connection he has with players.
‘When the manager is going from your club in the middle of the season with all the things they have still to win, you see the way they say goodbye to him, the way they make him feel part of the team and the way they treat him, it shows he’s a great character and he is someone that gives his all to the players.’
