Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds watched Wrexham take a giant step closer to sealing promotion to the Championship after they beat Burton Albion 3-0.
Reynolds jetted in from the United States for his first game since the turn of the year and was all smiles as Phil Parkinson’s side put their opponents to the sword.
Ahead of the game, the Deadpool star was spotted signing autographs and stopping for selfies for supporters, before he then took his place in the stands.
Steven Fletcher made the breakthrough in the 71st minute and the floodgates then opened, Sam Smith and Jack Marriott also finding the net in a 16-minute flurry.
Reynolds, 48, was spotted celebrating Smith’s crucial goal, fist pumping in the direction of the supporters and other dignitaries away to his left.
The result left Wrexham six points clear of Wycombe with the prospect of a third straight promotion, and a spot in the second tier, inching ever closer.

‘So, so worth getting up early today,’ co-owner Rob McElhenney posted on X.
Reynolds was last present at the Racecourse in December 2024 for a 2-2 draw with Cambridge United, an occasion which saw Wrexham pegged back at the death.
On Saturday, he greeted players inside the tunnel as they headed toward the dressing room and shared a warm embrace with former Wrexham defender Anthony Forde.
Reynolds’ visit to north Wales comes after he filed a motion to be dismissed from Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit.
The legal battle began back in December when Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, 37, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against film director Baldoni for his alleged actions on the set of It Ends With Us.
Baldoni later followed up by launching a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her publicist and her Reynolds.
He also filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against the New York Times for its reporting on Lively’s allegations – claiming its feature only included the actress’ version of events. Lively and Baldoni have denied each other’s claims.
The New York Times has denied Baldoni’s accusations and requested that his lawsuit against the paper be dismissed.
