Said Benrahma has travelled to France ahead of a £17million move to Lyon. 

It comes as the Ligue 1 side have reached an agreement with West Ham to sign the 28-year-old. 

While there are several points still to be ironed out, Lyon are hopeful the transfer can be rubber stamped before the window shuts at 11pm today, with the French side having agreed a loan fee and an option to buy worth £17m. 

The 28-year-old has struggled to break into David Moyes‘ starting XI this season, having played 22 times in all competitions, but has started in only 13 of those matches, managing just five starts in the Premier League this season. 

Benrahma was omitted Algeria’s Africa Cup of Nations squad last month and his contract at West Ham id set to expire in 2026.
