Bayern Munich would like to extend the contract of Konrad Laimer, whose current deal runs out in the summer of 2027.

However, their talks have stalled over the player’s wage demands, according to Sky Germany.

Laimer, who currently earns around €10 million gross per year, is said to be seeking €15 million – a figure that Bayern executives Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen are not prepared to meet at this stage.

Despite the impasse, an agreement remains possible, with the relationship between Laimer, his management and the club reportedly very good.

Laimer has been Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany’s preferred choice at right-back for much of the season.

Bayern are looking to reinforce that position in the summer, with Feyenoord’s Givairo Read considered the top target and 17-year-old Daniel Banjaqui of Benfica seen as an alternative option.
