Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has said that Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho “must be signed” by the Bianconeri this summer.
Speaking in an interview with TuttoJuve, via TuttoMercatoWeb, the 49-year-old said that “Juventus could be really good” for Sancho, as the Englishman “was a phenomenon at Dortmund and needs to find himself again”, amid rumours linking the winger strongly with a move to Turin this summer.

Tacchinardi surprised at Alberto Costa sale
Earlier this week, Juventus confirmed the sale of Portuguese right-back Alberto Costa to Porto for €15 million, just six months after the player signed for the Bianconeri from Vitoria Guimarães.
Tacchinardi described Costa as “a pacy player and seemed to be adapting to Tudor’s demand, he is not someone I would have given up, and the same goes for Weah. Joao Mario is a good player but I am sorry to see Alberto leave.” He then confessed “past poor decisions are now affecting the financial situation, with many players having been massively overpaid.”
In the deal that saw Costa join Porto, Joao Mario joined with a very similar profile. With 3 caps for Portugal under his belt, the 25-year-old is slightly more experienced at the top level.

Tacchinardi on Kolo Muani and Sancho rumours
Tacchinardi, who played 261 times in Serie A for the Bianconeri, also commented on some of the players linked with moves to the club.
Randal Kolo Muani, who spent the second half of last season on a successful loan spell with the Old Lady, has once again been linked with a return to the club.
Speaking about the French forward, Tacchinardi said that “He has shown he’s a great player on the pitch but he is not a leader. For me, a striker’s personality makes the difference for a team and I haven’t seen him as particularly exuberant or someone who drags the team forward. At a good price, I’d say maybe €35-40 million max, I’d sign him but definitely not for €50 million. Still, I hope he stays because he could form an excellent partnership with Jonathan David.”

On Sancho, Tacchinardi added that he “is an excellent profile, although hasn’t exploded in recent years. Maybe it is the weight of expectations or environmental difficulties that held him back but he has all the potential to have a great season. He’s not a vocal leader but technically he is very strong. In one of two attacking midfield roles behind the striker, he can be decisive at any given moment. He must be signed.”
