Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané will not face any disciplinary action for his elbow to the head of Pascal Gross in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund.
The Control Committee of the German Football Association (DFB) announced on Tuesday that no proceedings will be taken against the German international..
“After evaluating the television images and taking into account a statement from Dortmund player Pascal Gross, the conditions for blatantly unsportsmanlike conduct in the form of an attack on an opponent were not met with the certainty required for a conviction,” said Dr Anton Nachreiner, chairman of the DFB’s Control Committee.
As a result, Sané will be eligible to play when Bayern take on Heidenheim on Saturday.
