Schalke 04 are in advanced negotiations with 1.FC Heidenheim’s Kevin Müller over a loan move until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old is keen on joining the Royal Blues and is prepared to do everything possible to help the club achieve Bundesliga promotion.

In the last 24 hours, Müller was also linked with Hamburger SV – but it appears Schalke have beaten them to the goalkeeper’s signature.

Final details between Heidenheim and the Gelsenkirchen outfit are still being clarified according to Sky Germany.

Meanwhile, Müller is ready to undergo his medical as soon as an agreement between the clubs is reached to speed up the move.

The move seems all the more probable now that several reports tip current second choice Justin Heekeren to leave Schalke soon.

According to Het Nieuwsblad, the 25-year-old is at the top of RSC Anderlecht’s list, who are looking for a new backup goalkeeper.

However, WAZ confirms that there has been contact between Heekeren and Anderlecht, but a transfer is not currently imminent.

Transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that talks are already advanced and an agreement on contract details has been reached.
