Injury-plagued RB Leipzig midfielder Xaver Schlager faces another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Die Roten Bullen confirmed on Wednesday that he will be sidelined for around six weeks after undergoing a minor knee operation.
Schlager is expected to resume training after next month’s international break, which runs from 17 to 27 March.
He last played for Leipzig just before Christmas. The Austria international has already missed several months of this season with a cruciate ligament tear.
Schlager has made just five appearances in the 2024/25 campaign.
