SC Freiburg recorded a fourth consecutive draw in all competitions with a 2-2 scoreline at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. Since Vincenzo Grifo’s equalizer came three minutes before time, the hosts are more satisfied with the result.

“We started the game as we hoped,” said Julian Schuster, noting Derry Scherhant’s opening goal inside the first couple of minutes. “Then, it takes a lot of discipline, concentration, and patience to defend against an offensively strong Frankfurt side.

“I agree with Dino Toppmöller’s assessment. The draw is fair. Less would not have felt good at all. It was important not to walk off the pitch as a loser. And, we will happily take the point.”
