Sergio Aguero has defended Manchester City’s accomplishments by insisting that they won all of their trophies ‘fair and square’ despite his former club facing 115 Premier League charges.

City were charged by the Premier League with 115 alleged breaches of financial regulations in February last year, following a five-year investigation which began in 2018, but have not faced action.

The charges relate to a period between 2009 and 2018, where they won nine trophies, which include three Premier League titles and an FA Cup.

Aguero became a key player for City during this period after he was signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for £35million.

And the Argentine has launched a defence of his former club while addressing the charges.

The Argentine established himself as a club legend at City, scoring 260 goals in 390 appearances while winning plenty of silverware along the way
