The Week 34 Serie B games called off today following the death of Pope Francis will now be played on May 13, therefore delaying the end of the season.
When the news came through this morning that Pope Francis had died at the age of 88, all sporting events in Italy were cancelled as a sign of respect.
There were four Serie A matches that have been rescheduled for Wednesday April 23, specifically Cagliari vs. Fiorentina, Parma vs. Juventus, Genoa vs. Lazio and Torino vs. Udinese.
However, reorganising the Serie B games has proved to be trickier.
Serie B games moved to May 13

The Lega Serie B announced this evening that the Week 34 fixtures will now be played on May 13.
The season had originally been set to finish with Week 38 on May 9, but we will now have to wait a few days more to find out who earns promotion, relegation and the play-off spots.
The play-offs had been scheduled for May 15-16 going through to June 1.
