Sevilla make offer to sign Tottenham forward Alejo Veliz on loan until the end of the season

Sevilla have made an approach to sign Tottenham forward Alejo Veliz on loan until the end of the season.

Tottenham will decide on deadline day whether to sanction the potential move.

Veliz joined Tottenham in a £12million move from Rosario Central last summer.

The 20-year-old forward has made eight appearances for Tottenham, all of which have come in late substitute appearances.

Veliz scored his first goal for the club in Tottenham’s 4-2 defeat against Brighton on December 28.

Sevilla have bid to sign Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz on loan until the end of the season

The Argentine has been working his way back to fitness after suffering a knee injury in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve.

Veliz was pictured running at Tottenham’s training ground this week as he nears a return.

Sevilla are seeking reinforcements after a difficult season, with the reigning Europa League champions currently lying 16th in LaLiga.

Sevilla are just one point above the relegation zone after winning only three of their 22 league matches this season.
