Water has been well and truly doused on the rumours linking the centre-half with a transfer to the Gulf State.
A source close to Kim Min-Jae has rubbished the notion that the Bayern Munich defender is in talks with Al-Nassr over a possible move:
“We are currently not in talks with Al-Nassr. These reports are not true. Min-jae is fully focused on FC Bayern and will stay, unless something extraordinary happens.”
On Thursday, July 31, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna made a published a tweet linking the center-back to the Saudi Arabian club.
The report suggested talks were ongoing between Kim Min-jae’s agent and Al-Nassr, with the South Korean keen on the move.
While it comes as no secret that Min-Jae has been up for sale for a while, heading to a club like Al-Nassr has never really been in the cards.
A departure can’t be ruled out, but a move would leave the Bavarians somewhat shorthanded at center-back so close to the season’s start.
