Luciano Spalletti announced as new Juventus coach with Damien Comolli
Luciano Spalletti will make his debut on the Juventus bench against Cremonese this weekend, but his appointment has already set several records.
The former Roma, Napoli and Italy boss put pen to paper today on a deal until June 30, 2026, with an option to extend if they qualify for the Champions League.
He arrived at the Continassa training ground today and will have his first training session tomorrow, along with a presentation press conference.
Spalletti makes history as new Juventus coach

Just his appointment has already written a new page in the history books, as Spalletti becomes the oldest coach ever to take on the Juventus job.
Aged 66, he shatters the previous record set by Maurizio Sarri when accepting the role in June 2019 at the age of 60.
It is not the first time these two have passed on the record baton, because Spalletti beat Sarri’s record as the oldest coach ever to win the Scudetto, doing it at age 64 at Napoli after Sarri’s victory at Juve when 61.
He also becomes only the third coach to sit on the benches of Inter, Roma and Juventus in Serie A, following in the footsteps of Jesse Carver and Claudio Ranieri.
