Inter continue to negotiate over the huge sticking point with Club Brugge for Aleksandar Stankovic, namely the price of his buy-back clause.

As previously reported, the two clubs have an overall agreement for the transfer of the youth academy product to Belgium for €10m.

Buy-back clause the rub for Stankovic

The problem is that while they do know Inter want to retain a buy-back clause, there are fundamental differences over the value and the timing.

Sky Sport Italia point out that the Nerazzurri want it set at €25m, whereas Club Brugge are hoping for €30m.

It has also been suggested that Inter want it to be valid until June 2027 rather than only the end of the current campaign.

Stankovic turns 20 next month and is the son of former Inter legend Dejan Stankovic.

He spent last season in Switzerland on loan with FC Luzern and has also been linked with possible transfers to VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg in Germany.
