Striker’s agent to watch Arsenal vs Real Madrid

The representative of Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres will be watching the Champions League clash between Arsenal and Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have identified Gyokeres as their priority striker target this summer and talks are already underway with the player’s entourage.

Football Transfers now claim that his agent will be at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. The Gunners have personally invited him for the game against Los Blancos.

Arsenal are making groundwork towards recruiting Gyokeres. Sporting director Andrea Berta has personally spoken with the 26-year-old and has reportedly convinced him.

Gyokeres has been in extraordinary form this campaign with 43 goals from as many appearances. He would be a huge upgrade on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus upfront.

The Gunners are poised to finish runners-up in the Premier League for the third year running. They could be favourites for the title next term with Gyokeres leading the line.

There is a £85m release clause in his contract with the Portuguese champions, but Sporting CP are prepared to accept £55m for his departure later this summer.
