FC Bayern Munich are looking for a replacement for Michael Diederich, who will leave his position as the club’s chief financial officer at the end of September.

According to Kicker, VfB Stuttgart’s head of marketing and sales, Rouven Kasper, is being considered for a board role at Bayern.

If he were to join, the finance department could move under CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, allowing Kasper to focus on areas including marketing. Max Eberl, responsible for sport, would continue in his current role.

Back in August, reports suggested that Kasper had already decided to move and had informed Stuttgart’s management of his decision. However, Stuttgart president Dietmar Allgaier denied this at the time.

“Rouven Kasper has played a major role in VfB’s positive development in recent years. He is a recognized expert, so it wouldn’t be surprising if other clubs were interested in him. But there has been neither contact from FC Bayern nor has Rouven indicated that he wants to leave VfB,” Allgaier told DPA.
