Since August 2024, Dietmar Allgaier held the position of VfB Stuttgart president on an interim and volunteer basis. The 58-year-old is now elected as president after winning 91.51% of votes from club members.

This comes after the club reports its most successful year to date. Stuttgart’s chairman Alexander Wehrle speaks in detail about their achievement in today’s general meeting. The Swabians returned to Champions League football for the first time since 2010 after finishing last season as Bundesliga’s runners-up.

Stuttgart recorded revenue of €299.8 million, while their profit after tax stands at €15.4 million. “We’ve achieved records. We’re on a growth path, and we have ambitious goals,” said the delighted Wehrle. “But, we’re still a long way from having a fixed-term deposit account. We’re in the middle of repaying our stadium loans – a responsibility that will continue to challenge us.

“Fortunately, however, this result brings us closer to our consolidation goals faster than planned. This gives us additional security to strengthen our financial stability.”

Stuttgart managed to earn €33 million from media revenue for their Champions League participation, with an additional €10 million expected to be achieved in 2025. Kicker also reports the club has additional income from the completion of the business area in the stadium (€18 million), increase in sponsorship (€9 million) and merchandising (€7 million)

Earlier today, Stuttgart confirmed the early contract extension of their sought-after coach Sebastian Hoeneß until 2028.
