VfB Stuttgart are looking to strengthen their central defence this month, according to Sky Germany.

With Dan-Axel Zagadou out with a long-term injury, the Swabians have struggled to find the ideal partner for Jeff Chabot at the heart of their defence.

According to Sky, RC Lens defender Kevin Danso is one of the players the Swabians are looking at in their search for a new centre-back.

However, the transfer fee could be a stumbling block, with the French club reportedly demanding as much as €25-30 million for the former Augsburg man.

Youté Kinkoué (Le Havre) and Christopher Wooh (Stade Rennes) are seen as cheaper alternatives.
