Stuttgart wave goodbye to pair of loan players

VfB Stuttgart opted against signing either of their loan players ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Time is up at VfB Stuttgart for Fabian Rieder and El Bilal Touré, whose one-year loans expired this week the club announced.

After claiming victory in the DfB Pokal on the weekend, the Swabians’ bid farewell to the duo for a final time on a social media post.

Stuttgart showed their appreciation by thanking them for their “commitment and time they spent in the red jersey”. 

Touré returns to Italian first division club Atalanta, while Swiss international Rieder returns to Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes in France.
