Stuttgart working on deal for Fábio Vieira, per David Ornstein

According to the transfer journalist in The Athletic, Stuttgart are pursuing the talented midfielder.

VfB Stuttgart are working to sign Fábio Vieira from Arsenal, having already approached their Premier League counterparts about the player.

An agreement has yet to be reached but talks are ongoing, with Arsenal likely to seek a respectable price the attacking midfielder.

The 25-year-old, who has been capped by his country at Under-21 level, is into the final two years of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Vieira came through the ranks at Porto and joined Arsenal in a deal worth an initial €35million plus €5m in add-ons in June 2022.

He made 22 Premier League appearances in his first season in north London but struggled for game time in the subsequent campaign.

Vieira returned to Porto on a season-long loan in August 2024, and was a regular first team name, with 26 Liga Portugal outings.
