TEAMSHEET: Welcome to Mail Sport’s new football memory game… ahead of next month’s north London derby, can YOU remember Tottenham’s team from their 4-4 thriller with Arsenal in 2008?

And we’re back for another day of Teamsheet… Mail Sport’s original football memory game that tests your football knowledge and excites and infuriates in equal measure.

What is the aim of the game you ask? Well, every day, you’ll be challenged to name a starting XI from a random game in Premier League history. We’ll give you a team’s rough formation, and also let you know how many letters each player’s name is, but you have to fill it out in as few attempts as possible.

Every time you make a guess, a point is added to your total, with the BEST possible score 11. Let your friends, family and colleagues know how you get on in this fun-fuelled game – and after you are finished, you can choose a team and we’ll produce a second Teamsheet for you.

You can play two matches a day and pick ANY club – from Newcastle to Southampton – that has played in the Premier League since 2006. Premier League matches from 1992-2006 will be available in the coming weeks.

Ahead of the first north London derby of the season next month, today we’re reflecting on a classic of the rivalry when an eight-goal thriller was played out at the Emirates in October 2008, but can you remember who lined up for Tottenham that day?

Best of luck!

HOW TO PLAY

The aim of the game is to score as few points as possible!

If you guess a player at the first attempt you score one point – so the lowest score for guessing every player at the first attempt is 11.

Guess a correct letter in the right position, and it’ll turn green. Guess a correct letter but in the wrong position, and it’ll turn yellow.

You have six guesses for each player. If you’re struggling to remember a player, you can ask for a free letter, but it’ll cost you a point and a guess. And if you use up all six guesses, we’ll tell you their name but it costs you 11 points.

So play on to see if you’ll score the best possible total of 11 – or fail on every player and score 121.

You can play two games a day, so make sure to come back tomorrow.
