Manchester United are expected to see the exit of Rene Hake once Ruben Amorim comes in as the club’s head coach.

It’s thought that the Sporting CP man is set to bring in his own coaching staff, which means that a number of the current coaches will depart.

Ten Hag was sacked on Monday after a 2-1 loss to West Ham and Ruud van Nistelrooy oversaw a Leicester City 5-2 thrashing to reach the Carabao Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday in what his first game as interim head coach.

The team played with freedom as plenty of underperforming stars sent a pointed message to Erik ten Hag, who was sacked on Monday.

Ruben Amorim is set to become the new manager but his arrival could be delayed as per latest reports and that could mean Van Nistelrooy remains in charge for a few more games.

He was assisted by Rene Hake against the Foxes but Amorim is expected to bring with him three of his assistants from Lisbon — Carlos Fernandes, Adélio Cândido and Jorge Vital.

New coaches alongside Amorim

There is a cloud of uncertainty regarding the futures of both United coaches, who came to the club this summer as part of a coaching staff shake-up conducted by INEOS.

But Football Insider have revealed that while the Portuguese tactician wants familiar faces helping him in his new journey, he is keen to keep certain United coaches along for the ride.

The 39-year-old has his own ideas about how he wants to work but he wants an experienced head who knows the club inside out and has knowledge of what transpired before him.

“Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Amorim would like someone in place in the coaching setup who already knows and understands the club’s predicament.

RvN could stay on?

“The 39-year-old has his own ideas about what he wants to do at United, but he will discuss keeping existing coaches on with club chiefs.

“Amorim is set to have talks about retaining United’s existing coaching staff, but he would also like the scope to bring in his own team too.”

Everything points to Van Nistelrooy staying on but whether he will agree after having tasted the thrill of managing the United first team remains to be seen.

For now, the former Netherlands star cannot get too ahead of himself and he needs to help his players rediscover their form to hopefully carry on their winning form into the league as well with Chelsea up next.
