Terzic eyes next challenge amid Leverkusen links

Ex-Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has spoken about his hunt for a new managerial role.

A little over a year after leaving his role as Borussia Dortmund coach, Edin Terzic is on the lookout for his next challenge.

Most recently, the 42-year-old has been linked with the vacant coaching position at Bayer Leverkusen. Speaking to RTL, Terzic didn’t directly comment on those rumors but shared some insight into his plans.

“I want to do something I enjoy, where I have good people around me,” he said about a potential new club, adding: 

“Where and when it will start, I cannot answer.”

He also explained that he wants to implement “all the ideas I have been able to develop over the past twelve months. When and where is not important for now. What matters is that I feel good about it.”

Terzic has made the most of his time away from the busy football world.

“It was extremely important for me to use this time to frequently say ‘yes’ to the people who mean the most to me, to my family. We traveled a lot and explored the world,” he revealed.

“During the time the kids were at school, I focused on becoming a better coach. 

“Saying ‘yes’ to a club also means saying 1,000 little ‘no’s’ to friends and family. I enjoyed being able to say ‘yes’ so often.”
