Manchester City have currently spent the most amount of money of any club in world football during the 2025 January transfer window.
Pep Guardiola’s side have made a statement of intent in the market, following a string of poor results to end their year, by splashing an initial €152 million on Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt), Abdukodir Khusanov (RC Lens) and Vitor Reis (Palmeiras).
That figure could rise even higher with add-ons, while Man City are also interested in bringing in a new central midfielder and a new right-back, amid Rodri’s injury and Kyle Walker’s departure to AC Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain have racked up the second-highest total spend during the January window, thanks to their €70m purchase of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Ligue 1 giants failed to sign Kvaratskhelia last summer, but they have finally added him to their squad after agreeing a €70m deal with Napoli. The Georgian is PSG’s only January arrival so far.
In third place is Stade Rennais. They have improved their midfield core with the addition of Seko Fofana (€20m) from Al-Nassr, while Brice Samba (€14m) has arrived from RC Lens as their new first-choice goalkeeper.

Zenit St Petersburg sit in fourth place, having spent €33m on Botafogo winger Luiz Henrique. The Brazilian scored 12 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last season and he has become Botafogo’s all time record sale.
Aston Villa have the fifth-largest expenditure during the January transfer window, thanks to the signings of Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen for €25m and Levante defender Andres Garcia for €7m.
Meanwhile, Palmeiras have racked up the sixth-highest total of money spent in January, with the Brazilian giants signing Atletico Mineiro winger Paulinho for €18m and Orlando City winger Facundo Torres for €11.5m.
Serie A new boys Como sit in seventh place. Cesc Fabregas’ side have spent €29.1m on the additions of Maxence Caqueret (Lyon), Assane Diao (Real Betis) and Jean Butez (Royal Antwerp).
Ipswich Town are eighth, after spending €23.7m on Jaden Philogene, while River Plate are ninth. The Argentine giants have splashed €21.3m on Sebastian Driussi, Lucas Martinez Quarta and Gonzalo Montiel.
Tottenham Hotspur complete the top 10. Ange Postecoglou’s side have added Antonin Kinsky and Min-hyeok Yang for a combined €20.5m.
