The team of the season voted by the German footballers’ union

Players across the German professional game from Regionalliga to the Bundesliga gave their say on who they felt made the Bundesrepublik’s team of 2024-25.

Die Vereinigung der Vertragsfußballspieler or German professional footballers’ union officially elected their team of the season today. 

The union is comprised of approximately 1,300 members – most of which compete in the Regionalliga up to the Bundesliga.

A total of five Bundesliga teams were represented in the starting eleven listed below in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. 

The total percentage of votes each player received from the union is in brackets beside the players:

GK: Finn Dahmen (FC Augsburg) (28.3%)

RB: Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich ) (69.1%)

CB: Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich) (28.3%)

CB: Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) (54.5%)

LB: Nico Schlotterbeck (Bor. Dortmund) (45%)

DM: Granit Xhaka (Bayer Leverkusen) (28.3%)

RM: Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) (84.1%)

LM: Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) (59.7%)

AM: Nadiem Amiri (FSV Mainz 05) (36.1%)

ST: Michael Olise (Bayern Munich) (43.5%)

ST: Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) (77.5%)
