Beleaguered Tottenham boss Thomas Frank insists he can turn things around, despite increasing pressure on his job and a fan revolt following a desperate run of form
Thomas Frank insists he is up for the fight to save his job as Tottenham boss. Frank’s tenure is hanging by a thread and Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Borussia Dortmund could be his last game in charge.
The Tottenham hierarchy have even discussed making a change after just one win in eight games and the fans have turned on the under-pressure manager.
Frank said: “I think if your back is against the wall, you fight. And that’s what I do. I’m energetic, I fight. And again, it’s not about me. We need to win football matches. And we need to win football matches together. And that’s what it’s all about.”
The Dane has been under increasing pressure and Saturday’s home defeat to West Ham appears to have left Frank as dead man walking.

Tottenham have a crippling injury list with a staggering THIRTEEN players missing for the showdown with Dortmund and the club’s place in the Champions League places still uncertain.
Joao Palhinha is the latest to join the injury list while Micky van de Ven is suspended to leave Spurs facing a difficult task against Dortmund who are second behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga table.
But Frank insists that being up for the fight means he has not given up and he insists he can turn the whole situation around.
Frank added: “I think being up for the fight is to get up every morning very early, coming in, preparing and doing everything we can to turn every stone to make sure we are well prepared every single time we go on the pitch, push the staff, push the players, have demands, loads of small conversations, meetings, push everything.

“I think that is part of it and ready for the fight is also that you keep going. You don’t feel sorry for yourself when things are tough. You put things into a bigger perspective and you do everything you can.
“I am more than happy to take all the blame as long as I protect the players and they back the players everyone, including fans and journalists.
“I just keep doing what I am doing. I am not in doubt that is the right thing, I am not in doubt that will turn but of course we need to win more football matches.”
