Thomas Müller says there is no clear favorite as Bayern prepare to face PSG.

Bayern Munich continue their Club World Cup journey on Saturday with a quarter-final showdown against Paris Saint-Germain.

Looking ahead to the clash, Thomas Müller expects a tightly contested encounter.

“The French side is obviously a formidable opponent. It’s no coincidence they won the Champions League final against Inter 5–0 and lifted the trophy,” Müller wrote in his monthly newsletter.

“Both teams are in good form and know each other’s strengths inside out. I see the matchup as very evenly balanced.”

With 35-year-old Müller’s legendary time at Bayern nearing its end, the veteran is enjoying one last unique experience with the club as a player.

“What makes the Club World Cup special for me is having a true tournament experience with the team,” he wrote.

“Being together with the entire staff and all the players – that creates a unique atmosphere,” said the 35-year-old, who naturally hopes to finish his time at Bayern in style.

“Winning the tournament is always firmly in our sights,” he emphasized.
