With the winter transfer window now closed, we highlight the most remarkable Bundesliga Deadline Day deals.
After a hectic Deadline Day for several Bundesliga clubs, the winter transfer window has now officially closed.
While you can find a full list of confirmed Bundesliga transfers here, we’ve highlighted 10 Deadline Day deals that stand out the most below.
Top 10 Bundesliga Deadline Day Deals – Winter 2026
Brajan Gruda (from Brighton to RB Leipzig, loan)
The former Mainz winger recently made headlines when he openly said in an interview that he wants to play for a top club and mentioned Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool. Gruda didn’t end up at one of those giants on Deadline Day, though, but instead joined RB Leipzig, who have given him the No. 10 shirt. With highly-rated Assan Ouedraogo sidelined long-term, Die Roten Bullen will be hoping the German U21 international can bring creativity to their attack.
Ayodele Thomas (from PSV to RB Leipzig, 400k)
Leipzig also secured the signing of 18-year-old Dutch winger Ayodele Thomas on the last day of the winter transfer window. A Netherlands U19 international, Thomas impressed for PSV’s youth teams, but never got to make his senior debut for the Eredivisie side. He’ll now be looking to break through in the Bundesliga, following in the footsteps of other young wingers who have flourished at Leipzig.
Jeanuel Belocian (from Bayer Leverkusen to Wolfsburg, loan)
Signed for €15m from Rennes in 2024, Belocian missed most of last season with a cruciate ligament injury. Now recovered, the 20-year-old Frenchman has struggled for game time at Leverkusen and will hope to play more regularly at Wolfsburg. His ability to operate as both a left-back and central defender gives Die Wölfe valuable defensive flexibility for the rest of the season.
Bryan Zaragoza (from FC Bayern to AS Roma, loan)
It’s safe to say things didn’t click for Zaragoza at Bayern following his move from Granada in the winter of 2024. He now heads to AS Roma on his third loan since joining Bayern after having played regularly for Celta Vigo in the first half of the season. The winger will be looking to prove himself in Serie A, with the deal including an obligation to buy if certain performance criteria are met.
Jonas Adjetey (from Basel to Wolfsburg, 9.5m)
Alongside Belocian, Wolfsburg strengthened their backline by signing Ghanaian centre-back Jonas Adjetey for a reported €9.5 million. The 22-year-old has been a key player for Basel for some time now, offering a mix of strength, physicality and decent pace.
Hugo Bolin (from Malmö to Gladbach, loan)
Gladbach added Swedish winger Hugo Bolin to boost creativity in attack. The 22-year-old comes with a reported €2m purchase obligation and has represented Sweden’s national team twice.
Luca Netz (from Gladbach to Nottingham Forest, 2.5m)
With just six months remaining on his contract, Gladbach cashed in on left-back Luca Netz when Nottingham Forest expressed interest. In the past few years, the former Hertha player struggled to secure a regular starting spot in competition with Lukas Ullrich, and he’ll now embark on a new challenge in England.
Sheraldo Becker (from Osasuna to Mainz, loan)
With Benedict Hollerbach ruled out for the season, Mainz brought in Sheraldo Becker as a replacement on Deadline Day. Well-known to Bundesliga fans, Becker shone at Union Berlin before leaving in 2024 and now reunites with coach Urs Fischer at Mainz.
Uchenna Ogundu (from Alanyaspor to Augsburg, 4.5m)
Augsburg strengthened their attack by signing 19-year-old Nigerian striker Uchenna Ogundu on Deadline Day. Capable of playing across the frontline, Ogundu scored three goals in 20 appearances for Alanyaspor, and he will now add firepower to Die Fuggerstädter’s attack.
Felipe Chavez (from FC Bayern to FC Köln, loan)
Having recently been handed his first senior appearances for Bayern, Chavez has joined Köln on loan with an option to buy, which also includes a buyback clause for Bayern. A highly-rated attacking midfielder, Chavez made his senior international debut for Peru at just 18.
