Surprisingly, Napoli missed out on all their primary targets to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and ended up signing Noah Okafor on loan from Milan on the final day of the January transfer market.

Which Serie A teams made the most profitable sales in January 2025

The Partenopei sold the Georgian ace to PSG for €70m, which became the most profitable sale made by a Serie A club during the 2025 winter window, but failed to seal deals for Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi, albeit for different reasons.

The Red Devils were also involved in the second-most lucrative piece of business secured in the Italian top tier, as Lecce sold Patrick Dorgu to the Manchester giants for an initial fee of €30m, which could raise to around €38m with add-ons.

Monza lost two of their most prominent players, Warren Bondo and Daniel Maldini, raising a total of €20m from their deals with Milan and Atalanta.

It was surprising to see the Rossoneri feature in the list of the most lucrative exits with the 12-month loan of Alvaro Morata, for which Galatasaray paid as much as €6m.
