Top scorer: Mbappé strikes again to extend lead

Mbappé, who took over the captaincy against his former side, fired PSG back into the lead from the penalty spot after Ousmane Dembélé was impeded. The goal was his 14th of what has been an impressive start to the season by his own standards.

Terem Moffi was on hand to net the winner for Nice in their 1-0 win over Toulouse. The Nigerian was in the right place at the right time to slot home his fourth goal of the season after good work from Morgan Sanson.

Folarin Balogun was on target for the fourth time this term in Monaco’s 5-2 defeat at the Parc des Princes. The USA international beat the offside trap before coolly slotting past PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Balogun’s teammate Takumi Minamino also notched goal number four of the season in Friday night’s goal fest in the capital. The Japan star took advantage of Donnarumma’s untimely error and fired past the Italian and draw his side level.

Gonçalo Ramos was also the beneficiary of a goalkeeping blunder as he netted for the third time this season. PSG’s no.9  showed quick reactions to slot home from close range after Monaco shot-stopper Philipp Kohn failed to hold on to Dembélé’s effort.

Vitinha scored his third of the campaign deep into the second half at the Parc des Princes with a superb curling effort. The Portuguese midfielder has come into his own this season and delivered another beauty for Luis Enrique’s men.
