Declan Rice had the last laugh after a Tottenham fan threw insults at him as he was taking a corner… only for it to lead to Arsenal‘s third goal on Sunday.
The Spurs supporter was seen hurling abuse at the Arsenal midfielder but quickly made his way for the exit as the corner was nodded in by Kai Havertz.
Rice made sure to give some back as he turned and celebrated in the direction of the fan before joining his team-mates.
The Gunners survived a comeback from their biggest rivals to complete a north London derby double for the season and ensure they would remain top of the Premier League table until at least next Saturday.
The game got off to a perfect start for Mikel Arteta‘s side as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the ball into his own net in the 15th minute.
The Gunners raced to a 3-0 lead before half-time with Bukayo Saka producing a cool finish before Havertz’s header.

A Spurs supporter failed in his attempts to put Declan Rice off as his corner was nodded in
The home side hit back with Cristian Romero capitalising on a mistake from David Raya before Son Heung-min slotted from the penalty spot after Rice had given away a penalty.
The visitors held on to keep the pressure on Man City, who did their job by beating Nottingham Forest later in the day.
‘I think so,’ the Spaniard replied when asked if Arsenal are better equipped to win the title this time around.
‘When you win it’s always the case. Last season we didn’t because we went to West Ham and we missed a penalty and against Liverpool we conceded in the 91st minute and then you’re not capable.

‘At the end the judgement is going to be based on that outcome. If they got the goal in the last minute to make it 3-3 then we say ‘wouldn’t have been ready’.
‘The margins are so small. Don’t get carried away with yourself. We want to be better. There are margins for improvement. Go again against Bournemouth because it’s going to be really tough.’
