Tottenham Hotspur could make a genuine approach to land Ivan Toney from Al-Ahli during the winter transfer window, according to Teamtalk.
The north London giants have had a good start to the Premier League campaign with 18 points, but there is much room for improvement in the final third.
Manager Thomas Frank is keen on landing a striker who can make a difference, and he has already held talks with Toney over a possible reunion.
Toney played under Frank at Brenford for several seasons, and he is receptive to the prospect of returning to the Premier League in the New Year.
It remains to be seen whether Al-Ahli sanction his exit. The Saudi Pro League may not permit any kind of move unless Toney pushes for a transfer.
The Middle East outfit paid around £40 million for his services, but they are unlikely to recoup the entire fee if Toney returns to the Premier League this winter.
