TRANSFER GOSSIP COLUMN: Tottenham consider late bid for Conor Gallagher, Miguel Almiron will stay at Newcastle and Juventus forward turns down Everton move

  • The January transfer window closes on Thursday
  • A number of clubs are still hoping to finalise deals before the deadline
  • CHRIS SUTTON names his top five Premier League managers of all time on It’s All Kicking Off

Only two days remain for clubs to do business in the January transfer window and the chances of late fireworks remain slim.

Premier League clubs have reined in their spending this winter, but a number of clubs could still loosen the purse strings before deadline day.

Among those clubs are Tottenham, who are reportedly considering a late bid for Connor Gallagher. The Chelsea midfielder has long been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month as the Blues look to balance the books in order to comply with Financial Fairplay regulations.

While Gallagher could still switch clubs before deadline day, Miguel Almiron will not be going anywhere after Al-Shabab failed to meet Newcastle’s £30million asking price for the Paraguay international.

Elsewhere, Armando Broja could also leave Chelsea, while Timothy Weah has turned down a loan move to Everton.

Below, Mail Sport takes a look at the transfer rumours on Tuesday morning.
