FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 1 March, including the latest updates on Liam Delap and Senny Mayulu.

Liam Delap to leave Chelsea?

Chelsea will reportedly look to sell summer signings Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho after just one season at the club.

Delap has only scored two goals in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season and he is firmly behind fellow new signing Joao Pedro in the pecking order as things stand. Meanwhile, Garnacho has also struggled to adapt since his move from Manchester United and he has only played 131 Premier League minutes from a possible 720 since the beginning of 2023.

As a result, Chelsea have decided to listen to offers for the pair this summer, as per a report from Fichajes.

They arrived at the club for a combined price of just over €80 million and it’s understood that Liam Rosenior’s side are aiming to recoup as much of that investment as possible this summer.

Senny Mayulu battle

Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle for the surprise signing of Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Senny Mayulu this summer, according to a report.

That is according to CaughtOffside, who claim that PSG’s offer to extend Mayulu’s deal until 2030 was rejected by the France U21 international due to salary issues.

His current contract is due to expire in 2027 and his situation is reportedly being closely monitored by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, while Aston Villa and Newcastle United are known admirers too.

It’s understood that PSG will demand a fee of at least €60 million if they are unable to finalise a contract extension agreement with Mayulu, although that figure is expected to rise to €70m with add-ons.

Arsenal ready to sell Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell Gabriel Martinelli if they receive an offer worth €45 million this summer.

The Brazil international has been a regular for the Gunners since his arrival at the club in 2019, but rumours have linked him with a summer exit and it’s believed that a departure could take place amid Arsenal’s pursuit of a new left winger.

Spanish publication Fichajes claim that Barcelona are closely monitoring Martinelli’s situation at Arsenal ahead of this summer, despite the fact they are likely to sign Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.

Hansi Flick’s side remain interested in finalising an agreement for Martinelli and they have reportedly been informed that a minimum offer of €45m will be required to sign the Brazil winger.

Liverpool want Joao Neves

Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Joao Neves this summer, with the club plotting a “record-breaking” offer for the Portugal international.

Real Madrid are understood to be watching his progress closely, but Liverpool are currently leading the race for his signature as things stand, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

PSG have no intention of allowing the Portugal superstar to depart the club ahead of next season, however it’s claimed that a bid of €150m may tempt Luis Enrique’s side into a sale.

Ollie Watkins tipped to leave Aston Villa

Aston Villa are reportedly willing to sell long-term Manchester United target Ollie Watkins for a fee of just €34.2 million (£30m) this summer.

The England international will have two years remaining on his current contract at Villa Park in July and Unai Emery’s side are now ready to part ways with the former Brentford striker.

That is according to a sensational report from Football Insider, who claim that a bid just shy of €35m is likely to be accepted, despite the fact that Watkins remains an integral player for the Midlands outfit.
