FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 18 February, including the latest updates on Julian Alvarez, Mateus Mane and Murillo.
Alvarez not keen on Arsenal
Arsenal submitted a €120 million offer for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez last summer, according to journalist Ruben Uria.
However, the offer was turned down by both the player and the club. The Gunners remain interested, but Alvarez is not keen on a return to England after his spell at Man City.
Barcelona and PSG are also showing an interest in the Argentine, who wants to win the biggest trophies in football and could therefore leave Atleti in the summer.
Man Utd to Mane deal?
Liverpool are thought to be in pole position to sign Wolves wonderkid Mateus Mane, but Man Utd have also held talks with the player’s camp, according to Old Trafford insider Sully.
The 18-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s breakout stars this season and is attracting widespread interest due to Wolves’ expected relegation to the Championship.
However, the young attacker has not yet made a decision on whether to jump ship or continue his development at Molineux.
Chelsea in pole position for Murillo
Chelsea are leading the race to sign Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, according to CaughtOffside.
The Brazil international is likely to be on the move in the summer if Forest suffer relegation, and the Blues are at the front of the queue for his signature, having been closely monitoring him since his arrival in the Premier League.
The centre-back still has a long-term contract at the City Ground, so signing him will require a fee in the region of €80m.
Liverpool offered Diomande discount
RB Leipzig have slapped a €100m price tag on wonderkid winger Yan Diomande, but they may be forced to accept a lower fee if they miss out on Champions League qualification, according to talkSPORT.
Leipzig would have to sell several players to balance the books, with the Ivorian surely among the first to leave the club, given that he is being chased by most of Europe’s top clubs.
Liverpool, in particular, continue to be heavily linked with him after he claimed that it would be a dream to play at Anfield.
Man Utd back in for Delap
Man Utd are a “team to watch” with regards to the future of Chelsea striker Liam Delap, according to CaughtOffside.
The England youth international has struggled to make his mark at Stamford Bridge, and it has been suggested that he is already fighting for his Blues career, despite only joining in the summer.
Man Utd were among the teams determined to sign him in 2025, but he rejected a move to Old Trafford because of the Red Devils’ lack of European football.
